How do we help our customers choose between belt and chain? Part II

Updated: Aug 12, 2019

Let’s continue with the last topic of “Belt or Chain part 1”

Here are three more tips we have for our clients to make the right choice from belt drive garage door opener and chain drive garage door opener.

3, Maintenance

Not everyone can maintain the garage door at least once a year, or lubricate the chain twice a month, so we would recommend our clients make the choice based on their maintenance policies.

For example, in some markets, the garage door and door opener won’t be able to have maintained at all, so the house owners usually need to make a choice from 3 options-

Option 1: Using the chain drive and lubricating the chain twice a month, 24 times a year;

Option 2: Using chain drive and do nothing until it becomes noisy, call suppliers to replace a new one;

Option 3: Using belt drive and nothing need to be done, it will run smoothly and quite all the time thanks to its self-lubricating treatment, and regularly we will produce our belt life with 3 years or 200,000 times running, after that they can call suppliers to replace a new one.

Most people will choose option 2 or 3, or choose 1 but do 2.

4, Profit

A company is not a charitable organization. The healthy development of this industry requires reasonable or even high profit for every participant. When we show something good to our clients, we will also suggest them to consider with their own business models. The replacement or extension of the belt is obviously more profitable because it’s always an entire brand new belt required.

5, Sample

What you hear about may be false; what you see is true. In our communication, we found that most clients have a one-sided evaluation of their installation and maintenance policies, so some samples are usually sent to them testing and promotion.
